Our Charitable Group of the Year
Helping the homeless in Bath and West Wiltshire (HHBWW), is our charitable group of the year. We, as host families, appreciate that we are extremely fortunate to have a roof over our heads and a spare room which allows us to earn an extra tax-free income. As such, we feel that helping the homeless in any way we can is a great fit for Wiltshire Host Families as our charitable group for 2022 and 2023.
What do they do?
Helping the Homeless in Bath and West Wiltshire are a group who collect and distribute items for the homeless. We will regularly post lists of what is required. All help is gratefully received. Please feel free to spread the word, add people to this group and ask any questions. We will endeavour to do our best to help local homeless people and further afield if we can.

We are a small independent group supporting our homeless community and those who are vulnerably housed in Bath and West Wilts and operate as an unincorporated association."
How can you help us support them?
We are doing all we can to get the word out there, but there are 5 easy ways that you can help too:
For every referral we receive, that results in a new host joining our WHF family of hosts, we usually pay the referee a £20 shopping voucher. If you know someone who may be interested in joining us and earning some extra tax-free income, and you would like to support Helping the homeless, we are happy to donate your voucher to them on your behalf – as our host Jill Brindley did recently.
Join our Facebook page then share and like our posts, so we can reach more people who can help us support this great cause.

Support any appeals they announce such as their Christmas Appeal via Facebook
“We distribute donated food and clothes monthly in Bath and fortnightly in Trowbridge and we need £2500 to ensure an extra special Christmas pack and that everyone, at each distribution, receives a food pack, toiletry pack and Greggs voucher as standard.
Each Christmas we hold a raffle to help fund the extras we distribute during the following year. Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to organise a raffle in 2022, so we are hoping our supporters will each donate a £1 - what would have been the cost of a ticket - via the below link. Thank you and we hope to bring a raffle back in 2023”
Spread the word about Wiltshire Host Families and Helping the homeless – just ask via the contact us page, and we will be very happy to supply you with some of our flyers with Help the Homeless as the recipient of the £20 shopping voucher.
If you are a social media user, take a photo of the flyer and post it on your Facebook timeline and ask all your friends to share.
Post the flyer, or start a discussion, on all the Facebook groups you belong to, and if you use them, post on other social media sites like Instagram or twitter too.
If you are a member of a local WhatsApp group, Next-Door Neighbour website, hobby group, school class group or any other local community group then please post the flyer or information there too.
