Chippenham

Due to our continuing success and popularity with foreign student groups, Wiltshire Host Families will be opening a new centre in Chippenham from 2020, so we will need 25 new hosts from in and around the Chippenham area to join us.

We already have lots of bookings for next year, so please get in touch as soon as you can, to ensure your place on our register.

If you would like to give hosting a try before the Chippenham centre opens, then why not host in the Autumn for our Melksham centre? If you live more than 15 minutes from the centre, we will pay a fuel supplement of £5.00 per night to make it feasible.

Our Chippenham Team

Jo Cass is our Area Manager and will be overseeing running of the centre and future expansion in the Chippenham area.

Sue Willman will be the Coordinator to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to help if you have any problems or queries. Sue brings years of hosting experience, so is well placed to look after the students, teachers and host families throughout the stay.

Mel Tierney joins the team as Administrator to help with placements and recruitment. Expect to hear from Mel with details about your students and to explain how we work.

Hosting is great fun and can bring a much needed extra income into your household. You will need to drop and collect your students daily to our local Meeting Point at the Ladyfield Evangelical Church, Hungerdown Lane, Chippenham, SN14 0BA

Interested in becoming a Chippenham Host? You must be able to:

Provide a spare room – no sharing with your own family
Take a minimum of 2 students (max 4) or adults (no maximum) in single beds, bunk beds or double beds
Provide an “English Experience” breakfast, packed lunch & evening meal, as per our guidelines
Drop your students to the Chippenham Meeting Point by 7.45am latest
Collect your students again at around 6.30pm (or later)
Provide a clean and comfortable environment
Enjoy interacting with your students
